Mezedes to share
At Kymata in Munich-Nymphenburg, enjoy varied modern Mediterranean cuisine: mezedes to share, homemade gyros, fish and steaks from our Argentinian grill. Greek classics meet modern Mediterranean creations in our setting with Santorini flair.

Greek classics, fish and steaks from the grill
We serve our homemade gyros with tzatziki, rice and salad. Souvlaki, bifteki and moussaka are also among the classics of our Greek kitchen. Steak lovers can choose dishes such as Black Aberdeen rib eye and beef fillet with homemade demi-glace.
Discover our fish carpaccio and our legendary sea bass in a salt crust, presented in flames. For lovers of fine fish dishes, we also prepare sea bream royale and sole fresh from the Argentinian grill. For something hearty, enjoy Paidakia – fine lamb cutlets from the Argentinian grill – or our lamb Trilogia.
Vegetarian favourites
Our oven-baked briam combines aubergines, courgettes and potatoes, served with salad and feta. Risotto Manitari with three kinds of mushroom, Veggie Souvlaki with falafel and our veggie moussaka also showcase the variety of our vegetarian cuisine.
Our courgette fritters are made by Mama herself – using the same recipe for 30 years.
Homemade desserts
We make our desserts ourselves – especially our legendary millefeuille and our profiteroles with Ruby chocolate. Greek classics such as galaktoboureko and Greek yoghurt with honey and walnuts also provide a sweet finish to your meal at Kymata.
Our cuisine is also part of your special occasion. Discover the options for company celebrations, weddings and private parties at Kymata.
Looking at the menu and wondering what tirokafteri or galaktoboureko is? Here are the most important Greek dishes at Kymata – briefly explained.
Mezedes – Small dishes to share, cold or warm. In Greece you order several for the table and try them together. At Kymata there are more than 15 mezedes, also as a mixed starter platter for 2 or 4 people.
Tzatziki – Greek yoghurt with garlic and fresh cucumber. The classic with gyros, souvlaki and pita.
Tirokafteri – A spicy feta spread with a little heat. Perfect for dipping with pita.
Taramas – Greek fish roe dip. We serve the white version, creamy and mild.
Fava – A purée of yellow split peas, a speciality of the island of Santorini. Ours comes with caramelised cashews – or as a side to the grilled octopus.
Melitzana – Aubergine. As the aubergine salad “Agio Oros” with feta mousse, or as crispy aubergine chips (Patatakia Melitzana) with yoghurt and mint.
Graviera – A spicy Greek hard cheese, ours from the island of Naxos and grilled.
Florinis – Sweet red peppers from the Florina region, grilled and filled with feta.
Kolokithokeftedes – Courgette fritters, baked – to Mama’s recipe.
Gyros – Marinated pork, cooked layer by layer on a spit and thinly sliced. Ours is homemade, served with tzatziki, rice and salad.
Souvlaki – Skewers from the grill. Classic with pork, as Arni Souvlaki with lamb or as Veggie Souvlaki with falafel.
Bifteki – A Greek-style minced meat steak. Also available as Bifteki Black Angus made from 100 % beef (halal).
Paidakia – Fine lamb cutlets, ours from the rack and cooked on the Argentinian grill.
Moussaka – A bake of aubergines, potatoes, minced meat and béchamel. Also vegan as Veggie Moussaka with plant-based mince.
Briam – Greek oven-roasted vegetables – aubergines, courgettes and potatoes – served with salad and feta.
Choriatiki – The Greek farmer’s salad with tomato, cucumber, onion, olives and feta.
Galaktoboureko – Semolina custard in crisp filo pastry, ours with homemade basil ice cream and cream.
Halal, vegetarian and vegan
All beef and lamb dishes at Kymata are halal. Vegetarians can eat their way through almost the entire meze menu – from fava and tirokafteri to Feta Filo and Florinis. Vegan options include the Veggie Moussaka and the Veggie Souvlaki with falafel. Just let us know when you order – we’re happy to advise.
To go with it: Greek wines and cocktails
Greek food calls for Greek wine. Our wine list features more than a dozen white and red wines from Greece, plus international wines, champagne and signature cocktails from the bar.
How to order the Greek way
Do it like the Greeks: start with several cold and warm mezedes for the table, with pita. Then a main course – gyros, fish from the grill or a steak from the Argentinian grill – and finish with a homemade dessert. Can’t decide? Go for the Kymata Plate with gyros, souvlaki, bifteki and kotopoulo, or the Kymata Platter for two.
